The Beaver Bay Agate Shop is proud to be the oldest rock shop on the north shore of Lake Superior. We are located on highway 61, six miles north of Split Rock Lighthouse, or about 1 hour from Duluth. We offer the largest selection of local stone such as the Lake Superior Agate, Thomsonite, and Isle Royal Greenstone. We also have a free museum which holds some of the world's best specimens along with a fluorescent room. Every year we add new specimens, so be sure to come back and visit! Many of our gifts and jewlery have also been handcrafted right here at our store. We have something for every rock fan here! We specialize in doing custom jewelry in sterling silver or gold. Got a stone and want a ring out of it? Bring it in. We also have a wide variety of stones to choose from for setting. Another service we offer is cutting and polishing rocks along with all types of lapidary work. So, be sure to come check us out.
